The Turn

I relearned an important lesson this week: God never allows death without simultaneously breathing new life – to surrender is to both release and receive.

I’ve heard a few “no”s since my last blog entry. I’ve felt joy, loneliness, anxiety and excitement (twin emotions), frustration, and the presence of God in each step. And I get to keep walking. And I get to rest. And I get to play. And I get to walk some more. At many points along the journey, we’re all presented with the opportunity to stop doing the work. I used to take those opportunities. Today, I choose to keep going. Magic is just around the corner; but I must walk to the corner – and make the turn.
